The Heritage Open Day - 14 April 2011

On Thursday 14th April 2011 the Partnership opened its doors to several local heritage and historical groups exhibiting both their collections and expertise. The doors opened to the public at 2:00 p.m. and within a very short time the rooms were buzzing with interest. With stands from Cromer Preservation Society, The Runtons Archive, Sidestrand Heritage Group, Cromer Museum and the Overstrand heritage group. Joining the various groups was James Mindham who brought in a large collection of archaeological material representing some of his work in Northrepps.

The open Day continued at 7:00 p.m. when we were treated to talks from 3 speakers who have been involved for some time in the local heritage community. Andy Boyce from the Cromer Preservation Society spoke about Edwardian and Victorian Architecture, Richard Hoggett updated us on the his work with the Coastal Heritage Project and Peter Stibbons spoke about Cromer on the web.

The Poppyland Heritage Project
